Wild Landscape Mini Bowl

This fine white earthenware mini-bowl by ceramic artist Sarah Dalton is incredibly light and thin. Sarah has taken artistic inspiration from the wild Pennine moorland that surrounds her. Using washes of highly diluted underglaze (with subsequent clear matte overglaze) she creates a sweeping background scene, and special calligraphic brushwork forms the branches of the foreground . This intricately decorated vessel has an additional accent of a pool of pale amber tinted and partially crackled glass fusion on the inside. The artist’s initials are inscribed into the base.
