Small tankard

Small iron rich stoneware tankard thrown on the wheel by Harriet Coleridge. Leaf motifs and potter’s mark impressed in clay. Glazed with a carbon trap shino and decorated with wax. Reduction fired in a gas kiln to 1280 C. Platinum lustre bands applied by brush top and bottom. Tankard fired once more to 730 C.
