Stoneware Silurian fossil beaker


Stoneware beaker with trio of Silurian fossils by Lorraine Bates.
Sprigged with trilobites Calymene Blumenbachii or The Dudley Bug; the originals being collected from the Black Country UNESCO Geopark which is a few metres away from our studio in Woodsetton near Dudley.
Decorated with iron and copper oxides and glazed with reactive titanium rutile glazes some derived from local minerals and bentonites.
Dishwasher and oven proof.
