Small Fenland Moon Jar – Peeping

Kathryn Hearn built this porcelain, paperclay, Moon Jar with strata’d coloured inclusions and as a response to the enormity of the Fenland skies and landscape. The peeping of the sun emerging through the mists with new beginnings. Also a reference to the Korean Moon Jar at the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge. This vessel is stamped with the maker’s mark.
