Tessa Wolfe Murray studied ceramics as a postgraduate student at Goldsmiths College. Recognition came soon after graduating. She worked with the Conran Shop designing and making vases and lampbases  for their shops in the UK and worldwide. Currently she exhibits in galleries and ceramic fairs. Her inspiration comes from everywhere: ethnographic museums, urban, land and seascapes, textures gathered on her travels.   Vessels are slab-built. Decorated with impressed textures, incised lines, slips and glazes. She applies a controlled smokefiring developed for glazed pots to a selected range of her work.
