I work in North Devon and most of my work is in fine porcelain, thrown on the wheel. My underlying influence is the nearby coastline and the sea. Its colours, rhythms, sense of depth and changing nature are all of particular interest. Glazes are brushed on in layers, so that in the slow, high temperature firing, the glazes interact to create a sense of depth in the surface of the pot. I'm seeking  to suggest a sense of rhythm and movement.
